My Top 5 Summer Must Haves!

Summer is officially here and I cannot be more excited! With the heat playing a huge role in our lives I thought I'd share with you my five summer must haves. So whether you stay home this summer or go on a vacation I think these pieces will help you have a fabulous summer!

1. Hair Accesories

I wear my hair in low buns/low ponytails almost every day. It is an easy way to get my hair out of the way in 100 plus weather but also looks really chic with summer outfits. My new favorite way to spice up my outfit is by using ribbons and bows. I personally love this bow/scrunchie because the colors are so cute and it is the perfect length. You also don't have to tie your own bow so it's super easy. I got mine from Urban Outfitters (for only $6.00 but I noticed they have them at Forever 21, Target and lots of other places).

2. Sunglasses

Sunglasses are very important in the summer. Besides using mine to protect my eyes I also like to use them as a hair accessory. It makes my outfits look more relaxed/put together. My sunglasses are from Warby Parker so they are going to last me a long time but you can get this style of sunglasses anywhere. So whether you decide to splurge or go to Forever 21 for shades, both are going to get the job done.

3. A Small Purse

Small purses seem so much better in the summer because they don't help to make you hotter. I like bright color purses to add a pop of color and they make me feel more in season. I got mine at Target. Even though it is teeny it has a built in wallet and still allows me to hold chap-stick, my giant phone and gum.

4. Sandals

I love slip on sandals. I find them comfortable and totally cute. They are also super trendy this summer. You can find them in any color and any price. I got mine from Walmart. Crazy right? And I love them. They go with everything and were less than $7. These in particular come in lots of great colors.

5. Levis (501 Wedgie Fit)

I love Levis jean shorts. The 501, wedgie fit is my favorite. They are super flattering and come in plenty of different washes. They also seem to last forever. The more you wash them the better they look. Levis can be pretty pricey but I usually find mine in places like Marshalls and TJ Max. So when you find them for less than $60 you know you hit the jackpot.
