If there is one thing you know about me it’s that I love cats. (Maybe it’s because we share a name?) I am obsessed with my cat, Hudson. I am in awe of every little thing he does. In fact, 80 percent of my phone is pictures of him. I treat him like the prince he is, but what a lot of people don’t know is that I got Hudson from an animal shelter.
Last December I took home a tiny fluffy kitten from the dog pound in my hometown. That fluffy kitten was Hudson Clark. When I went into the pound I didn’t know that I would be taking home a kitten. When I first saw Hudson, he was purring super loud and kept putting his paw on the cage so I would take him. It was love at first sight! We were meant for each other. Only 5 minutes and minus ten dollars later I was walking out the door with my new kitten. To this day I have no idea where he came from or who his mother was but he is one lucky little spoiled guy.
The truth of the matter is there are lots of cats and dogs, in shelters out there that need forever homes. According to a study done by the Humane Society, 2.7 million adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized in the United States each year, because too many pets come into shelters and not enough people consider adopting when looking for a pet. So, although it may be tempting to get the same pet as your favorite celebrity it is important to remember all of the great potential friends who are out there waiting for someone like you to take them home. If you are interested in a pet I strongly urge you to go to your local animal shelter. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
Fun Facts about Hudson:
He loves cuddles.
He likes to hangout with dogs.
He is fearless.
He has a super soft meow.
He is SUPER cute!
So that’s all I have for this week, until next time, have fun!
